Amaç ve Yöntem: Sosyal Sigortalar Kuru­mu Ankara Eğitim Hastanesi çalışanlarını temsil eden bir örneklem grubunda yürütülen kesitsel araştırmada, sağlık çalışanlarının genel iş doyu­mu düzeyi, genel iş doyumunu etkileyen etmen­ler ve bunlarla etkileşen sosyodemografik özel­likler incelenmiştir. Bulgular: Sağlık çalışanla­rının genel iş doyumu puan ortalaması alınabile­cek en çok puanın (50) yarısından az olarak saptanmıştır (43). Buna göre, sağlık çalışanları­nın genel iş doyumu ve bir bileşeni olan İş doyu­mu düşük, diğer bileşeni olan iş duyumsuzluğu ise, yüksektir. İ ş doyumu ölçeği puan ortalaması en az olanlar sırasıyla hemşireler ve hekimler, en çok olanlar ise, destek hizmeti sunanlardır. Tartışma ve Sonuç: Sağlık hizmetinin Öznesi olmak ve hizmeti hasta ile birebir ilişki içinde yürütmek iş doyumunu azaltmaktadır. SSK has­tanesinde yaşlar, cinsiyetler, eğitim düzeyleri ve yönetsel sorumluluk temelinde oluşturulan grup­lar arasında, beklenenin aksine istatistiksel an­lamda önemli farklılık saptanmamıştır. Ekip ça­lışması, İşin kendisi, kuruma bağlılık ve güvenile bilgilendirme ve iletişim başlıkları altında ta­nımlanan etmenlerin ortalama puanları en çok, ücret ve ödül sistemi, birimler arası ilişkiler ve örgüt kültürü ise, en azdır. Genel İş doyumu pu­anı ile en güçlü İlişkiye sahip olan alt ölçekler sı­rasıyla; örgüt kültürü, kuruma bağlılık ve güven ve işin kendisidir. Bu etmenlerde iyileştirme sağ­lanarak, iş doyumu artırılamasa bile, iş duyum­suzluğu azaltılabilir. Sonuç bölümünde, doyumu artırmayı ve doyumsuzluğu önlemeyi amaçla­yan yönetsel ve kurumsal girişimler tanımlanmış ve bu girişimlerin ivedilikle başlatılması gereği vurgulanmıştır.

Object and Method: The cross-sectional study has been carried out on a sample group that represents Social Insurance Institution's Ankara Education Hospital's health care workers. General job satisfaction, its main components and affecting sociodemographic characteristics, have been investigated. Results: Findings point out that the average job satisfaction score is lower than the half of the highest score that can be obtained. This result demonstrates that the general job satisfaction and its component job satisfaction of the health care workers of the hospital are low and their job dissatisfaction is high. The average general job satisfaction scores of the nurses and medical doctors are lowest and the scores of services workers are higest, so being in direct relation with the patients is one of the cause that decreases the general job satisfaction. No statistically significant score differences have been found between groups identified by ages, genders, education levels and menagerial responsebilities. Discussion and Conclusion: The average general job satisfaction scores obtained in the factors as team work, the job itself, instutitional respect and information and communication are highest and the scores in the factors as wages and wages systems, inter­departmental relations and organisational culture are lowest. The factors that are meaningfully related with the general job satisfaction scores are organisational culture, instutitional respect and the job itself, so, with improving these factors, job dissatisfaction can be decreased, even if the job satisfaction may not be increased. As a conclusion, the necessity of administrative and institutional interventions to increase job satisfaction and to prevent job dissatisfaction has been emphasized.
