Bu çalışmada iş kazası riski yüksek ortamlarda çalışanlarla, iş kazası riski az olan ortamlarda çalışanlar arasında olabilecek farklılıkları ve iş kazası geçir?miş olmanın çalışanı nasıl etkilediğininiıı ipuçlarını bulmaya çalıştık. Deney grubu olarak iş kazası riski yüksek metalden eşya sanayii iş kolun'da çalışan 100 işçi, kontrol grubu olarak da iş kazası riski az olan elektrikli alet'ler (fiş, priz, vb.) üretim iş koluna bağlı 100 işçi alınmıştır. Deney ve kontrol gruplarını oluşturan bireyler kendi%ralarında iş kazası geçiren ve iş kazası geçir?meyen olarak ayrılmıştır. Her ik i grupta kaza geçiren ve kaza geçirmeyen deney ve kontrol grupları olarak birbirleri ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Deneklerimizin ya ş ortalamaları deney grubu 21.8, kontrol grubu 22.18 dir. Her ik i grubumuzda tahsili, medeni durum ve çalışma süresi olarak eşitlenir'ken, iy kazası geçirme bakımından fark vardır. Gruplara uygulanan Benton görsel algı testinde, iş kazası geçiren deney ve kontrol grupları puan ortalamaları arasında anlamlı fark çıkarırken (p<0.001), iş kazası geçirmeyenlerde bir fark bulunamamışın- (p>0.05). Spielberger sürekli-durumluk anksiyete skalasının hem sürekli hem de durumluk ölçeklerinde iş kazası geçiren deney ve kontrol grupları arasında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmu ş (p<0.001), bu fark iş kazası geçirmeyen deney ve kontrol gruplarının sürekli ve durumluk kaygı ölçeklerinde de tekrarlanmıştır (0.01 0.05). Eysenck kişilik testinin psikotik, dışadonük, nörotik ve yalan alt testlerin'de iş kazası geçiren deney ve kontrol gruplarının puan ortalamaları arasında fark bulunanıezken (p>0.05), iş kazası geçirmeyen deney ve kontrol grupları puan or'talamaları arasmda dışadonük ve nörotik alt testlerinde istatiksel olarak anlamlı farklar bulunmuştur (0.01
