Tip I ve Tip II'li Diabetes Mellitus'lu hastalarda anksiyete ve depresyon

Amaç: Bu çalışmada Tip ive Tip II diabetes mellitusıı olan hastaların anksiyete ve depresyon sıklığı, şiddet düzeylerinin karşılaştırılması ve anksiyete ve depresyon gelişmesini yordayabilecek sosyodemografik ve klinik değişkenlerin saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırmaya Tip I diabeti olan 44, Tıp II diabeti olan 56 hasta alındı. Tüm hastalar Hastane Anksiyete Depresyon (HAD) ölçeğini doldurdu. Bulgular: Tıp I diabetli hastaların 19(%43.2)' u kadın, 25(%56.8)'i erkek, Tıp II DM'li hastaların 32(%57.1)'si kadın, 24(%42.9)'ü erkek idi. Diabet açısından Tıp I DM'i olan hastalarda komplikasyon, önceden hastanede yatış oranları diğer gruptan anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksekti. Tip IDM'i olan hastalarda diğer gruba göre depresyon daha sıktı ve daha şiddetli idi. Depresyon görülme sıklığı Tip I DM grubunda %47.7, diğer grupta %25 olarak bulundu. Anksiyete sıklığı ve şiddeti açısından iki grup arasında herhangi bir fark saptanmadı. Anksiyete görülme sıklığı Tip I DM grubunda %22.7, diğer grupta Yol 4.3 olarak bulundu. Kadın cinsiyetin DM'lu hastalarda anksiyete gelişmesini yordayıcı özellikte olduğu saptandı. Sonuç: Tip I DM'u olan hastalarda depresyon sıklığı ve şiddeti Tip II DM'a göre daha fazladır. Kadın cinsiyet, DM'ta anksiyeteyi yordayıcı özellik gösterir.
Anxiety and depression in patients with Type I and Type IIDiabetes Mellitus
Objective: In this study, it was aimed to determine the frequency and level of anxiety and depression and to examine the sociodemographic and clinical variables that predict anxiety and depression in patients with type I and type II diabetes mellitus(DM). Method: Data was collected on 44 patient with Type I DM and 56 patient with Type II DM. All patients were assessed with Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HAD). Results: Of type I DM sample, 19(43.2%) were women and 25(56.8) were men; and of type II DM sample 32(57.1) were women and 24(42.9%) were men. Among type I DM patients, complication and previous hospital admission rates were significantly greater than that type II DM patients. The rate and the level of depression in type I DM group was significantly greater than that tpye II DM. The rate of depression in type I and type II DM was 47.7% and 25%, respectively. No difference was found between two group in terms of anxiety. The rate of anxiety in type I and type II DM was 22.7% and 14.3%, respectively. In regression analysis, it was found that women were at high risk for developing anxiety. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that the frequency and level of depression is significantly greater in type I DM than that type II DM. Women are at high risk to develope anxiety.
