Çizgi bölme testi ve test-tekrar test güvenilirliği

Amaç: Çizgi Bölme Testi (ÇBT), beyin hasarlarına bağlı olarak ortaya çıkan ihmal sendromunda ihmali, sağlıklı bireylerde ise sağ alanın ihmali olarak tanımlanan “yalancı ihmal” olgusunu göstermek için kullanılan bir testtir. Bu çalışına, tarafımızdan geliştirilen bir ÇBT'nin test-tekrar test güvenilirliğini incelemek için yapılmıştır.
Yöntem:ÇBT, herbirinde 5 'er yatay çizgi bulunan ve toplam 80 çizgi içeren kağıtlarda uygulanmaktadır. Çizgilerin yarısı kağıtların sol tarafında, diğer yarısı sağ tarafında bulunmaktadır ve deneklerin sağ ve sol elleri ile bölecekleri 40'ar çizgilik eş 2 seri halinde sunulmaktadır. Böylece kullanılan el ve uzaysal yarı alanları etkisi değişkenler olarak incelenebilmektedir. Test, nörolojik bir sorunu olmayan 18-28 yaşları arasındaki 52 kişiye uygulandı.Ayrıca bu gruptan 21 kadın ve 21 erkek 3 hafta ara ile test-tekrar test çalışmasına katıldı. Deneklerden çizgilerin orta noktalarını işaretlemeleri istendi.
Bulgular: Cinsiyet ve kullanılan el farkı olmaksızın, çizgilerin sol alanda anlamlı olarak orta noktanın solundan bölündüğü, sağ alanda ise kadınlarda anlamsız, erkeklerde anlamlı olmak üzere sağa doğru bölündüğü bulundu. Test-tekrar test korelasyon katsayılarının ortalama sapma değerleri için .416 ile .807 arasında değiştiği saptandı.
Tartışma: Bulgular beyin işlevlerinin yarım kürelere yanallaşmasının bir yansıması olan yalancı ihmalin incelenmesinde birimimizde geliştirilen ÇBT'nin yalın bir test olarak kullanılabilir ve güvenilir olduğunu düşündürdü.
Line-bisection task and test-retest reliability
Objective: The line bisection task has been used to demonstrate an asymmetric perception of space in patients with brain lesion and in normal subjects who show pseudoneglect which can be defined as a slight right side neglect. The present study was carried out to investigate test-retest reliability of the line bisection task adapted by us.
Method: In this task, 80 horizontal lines are presented on sheets of paper, each of them contains 5 lines. Half of the lines are placed on the left side of paper, while the other half are on the right side. Subjects bisect 40 lines by their left hand, and 40 lines by their right hand in the same order. This gives an opportunity to investigate the effects of hand use and presenting lines in the left or right hemispace. The task was applied to 52 subjects between 18 and 28 age without any neurological deficits. In this group, 21 male and 21 female subjects attended to test-retest study in 2-3 weeks after first application of the task. The subjects were asked to mark the exact midline of the lines.
Results: There were no main effects for sex and hand use, but a significant main effect was found for the hemispaces. Subjects showed Ieftward error in the left hemispace and rightward error in the right hemispace. The test-retest reliability coefficients varied between .416 and .807.
Conclusion: Results suggest that the line bisection task is simple, but useful and reliable in research of pseudoneglect which is a reflection of the functional brain lateralization.
