Amaç: Bu araştırmada saldırganlık düzeyi farklı olan lise öğrencilerinin üç farklı stresle başa çıkma yolunu kullanma açısından bazı değişkenlere göre farklı olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırmada 491 öğrenciden Stres Ölçeği, Başaçıkma Stratejileri Ölçeği ve kişisel bilgi formu aracılığı ile bilgi toplanmıştır. Bulgular ve Tartışma: Saldırganlık düzeyleri farklı olan gençlerin kişisel özelliklerini stres kaynağı olarak görüp görmemelerinin stres yaşarken problem çözme yolunu kullanmalarında farka yol açtığı bulgusu araştırmada elde edilen tek ortak etki bulgusudur. Bunun dışında elde edilen bulgular, kızların, annelerinin mezuniyeti orta öğrenim olan ve stres kaynağı olarak aile içi iletişimsizliği göstermeyen gençlerin daha fazla sosyal destek arama yolunu tercih ettikleri; saldırganlık düzeyi az olan gençlerin ve ikinci sınıf öğrencilerinin problem çözme yolunu daha fazla kullandıkları; saldırganlığı fazla olan ve anneleri ilkokul ve orta öğrenim mezunu olan gençlerin kaçınma yolunu daha fazla kullandıkları biçimindedir.

Objective: The research investigated the different aggression levels of high school students to examine whether there are any differences between them in using the three types of coping strategies. Method: The Coping Strategies Inventory and the Aggression Scale and Personal Data Form were filled out by 491 high school students. Results and Conclusion: Results indicated that students who have different aggression levels according to their perception of identifying themselves as a stress sources, have significant differences between them, especially about using problem solving strategies. Only common effect was found to be statistically significant. Female students whose mother’s educational level is at the secondary school level, and students who not perceive family conflict as a stress source, have been using social support seeking strategies more than the other groups. Students who have lower-level aggression, and second grade student have been using problem-solving strategies more than the other groups. Student who have higher-level aggression, and students whose mother’s educational level is elementary or secondary school level have been using avoidance strategy more than the other groups.
