Tüm ilaçların olduğu gibi psikotropik ilaçların da bazı yan etkileri mevcuttur. Bu derlemede bu ilaçların hormon düzeylerine etkisini inceleyen çalışmaların özetlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaca uygun olarak belirlenen anahtar kelimelerle PUBMED, Türk psikiyatri dizini ve Google scholar dizinleri taranmıştır. Derlemenin dahil edilme kriterlerini karşılayan çalışmalar alt başlıklar halinde ele alınmıştır. Psikiyatrik ilaçları kullanırken bu ilaçların aynı zamanda bazı hormon düzeylerinde değişikliklere neden olup hastaların hayatlarını olumsuz yönde etkileyebileceği klinisyenlerin dikkatine sunulmuştur.

Like all the drugs psychotropic drugs also have some side effects. In this review the studies focuses on the hormonal side effects of these drugs has been aimed to summarize. PUBMED, Turkish psychiatric index and Google scholar were searched with keywords, which were selected fit for the aim of the review. Studies that were met the inclusion criteria of the review were discussed in sub-titles. While using psychotropic medications, some of these drugs may cause changes in hormone levels and consequently may affect negatively the lives of patients were brought to the attention of the clinicians.
