Adjustment is a natural process of people who face life events from birth to death. This process starts with a birth of a demand and then it disturbs established balances of the environment. !n order to re-establish the disturbed balances, human be­ings possess necessary mechanisms or they pos­sess the potential to develop these mechanisms. The important parts of development and adjust­ment processes are reactions that are the result of cognitive evaluations of the demands, evoked re­actions, and cognitive evaluation of the new situa­tion. These parts may determine the criteria to sep­arate healthy adjustment from unhealthy adjustment.
