Nöroleptik Malign Sendrom (NMS), antipsikotik tedavinin hayatı tehdit edici bir komplikasyonudur. Bu çalışmada, kliniğimizde tedavi edilmiş olan 5 NMS olgusu sunulmaktadır. Dört olgu bipolar bozukluk, bir olgu kısa psikotik bozukluk tanısı almıştır. Hastaların tamamında ateş, kas rijiditesi, bilinç bozukluğu ve yoğun terleme gözlendi. Bütün hastalara genel tıbbi tedavi yanı sıra, bromokriptin ve diazepam uygulandı. Hastaların tamamında düzelme sağlandı.

Neuroleptic malignant syndrome is a life-threatening complication of antipsychotic therapy. In this study, 5 NMS cases four of 5 cases have bipolar affective disorder and one of the cases have brief psychotic disorder. All of them showed the symtoms of hyperhermia, musculer hypertonicity, imparied consciousness and excessive sweating. All patients were treated with bromocriptin and diazepam. All patients demonstrated full remission
