Bipolar bozukluk ve dikkat eksikliği/hiperaktivite bozukluğu (DEHB) sanılanın aksine bir arada çok sık görülmektedir. Çocuklarda ve ergenlerde bipolar bozukluk ve DEHB birlikteliğine dair son yıllarda yapılan çalışmalar, bu konuya olan ilginin artmasıyla sonuçlanmıştır. Bipolar bozukluk ve DEHB birlikteliği olan olgularda değerlendirme süreci, klinik tanı ve tedavi daha komplike hale gelmektedir. Bipolar bozukluk ve DEHB birlikteliği ve tedavisi ile ilgili birçok çalışma yapılmasına rağmen bu konu ile ilgili endişeler devam etmektedir. Ancak son yıllarda bipolar bozukluk ve DEHB birlikteliğinde stimulan ve atomoksetin kullanımı ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalar bu endişeleri giderecek niteliktedir. Bu yazıda bipolar bozukluk ve DEHB birlikteliği ve tedavisi gözden geçirilmiştir.

Bipolar disorder and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a very commonly seen together, in contrast to assumption. Recently the studies has done in the field of bipolar disorder accompanied with ADHD in children and adolescents has resulted in an increased interest in this subject. In bipolar disorder and comorbid ADHD cases, evaluation process, clinical diagnosis and treatment has been getting more complicated. Although many studies has done regarding the bipolar disorder and ADHD comorbidity and treatment of these diseases, concerns about these issues is yet resolved. However in recent years, studies has addressed the concerns about treatment with stimulants and atomoxetine in bipolar disorder and comorbiditiy of ADHD. In this article, bipolar disorder and ADHD comorbidity and treatment of them has been revised.
