Yapay bozukluk hasta rolünü benimsemek amacıyla fizik ya da psikolojik belirtilerin istemli olarak oluşturulmasıya da taklit edilmesi ile belirlidir. Yapay bozukluğun üç alt tipi vardır. Psikolojik belirtilerin ön planda olduğu, fiziksel belirtilerin ön planda olduğu ve her iki tip belirtinin bir arada olduğu biçimde görülebilir. Varsanılar, depresyon, intihar düşünceleri, dissosiyatif belirtiler ve bellek yitimi sıklıkla üretilen klinik belirtilerdir. Yapay bozukluklar önemli düzeyde mortalite ve morbiditeye neden olabilen bozukluklardır. Bu yazıda, psikolojik belirtilerle çocuk ve ergen psikiyatri servisine başvuran bir ergen yapay bozukluk olgusu sunulacak ve ayırıcıtanısüreci yazın ışığında tartışılacaktır.

Factitious disorder is characterized by the intentional production or feigning of physical or psychological symptoms with the objective of adopting the patient role. There are three subtypes of factitious disorder. The subtypes could be seen as prominent with physical symptoms, psychological symptoms or both combined. Commonly presented clinical problems include hallucinations, depression, suicidal ideation, dissociative symptoms, and amnesia. Factitious disorders can cause serious morbidity and mortality. In this report, we present an adolescent case diagnosed with factitious disorder who was admitted to a child and adolescent psychiatry unit with psychological symptoms and the process of differential diagnosis is discussed in the light of relevant literature.
