Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı, anne-babası evli veya boşanmış olan ilköğretim çağı çocuklarının ebeveyn kabul-reddi ve psikolojik uyum açısından karşlaştırılmasıdır. Yöntem: Araştırmanın örneklemi, İzmir ilindeki ilköğretim okullarından alınan ve anne-babası evli olan 138 çocuk ile anne-babası boşanmış 124 çocuk olmak üzere toplam 262 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada Bireysel Bilgi Formu, Ebeveyn Kabul-Red Ölçeği (EKRÖ) ve Kişilik Değerlendirme Ölçeği (KİDÖ) kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Evli ailelerde çocukların anne kabul-reddi ile baba kabul-reddi arasındaki ilişkinin oldukça yüksekken (r=.69); boşanmış ailelerdeki çocukların anne ve baba kabul-reddi arasında ise hemen hemen hiç bir ilişki bulunamamıştır (r=.01). Çocukların anne ve baba kabul-reddi algıları ile çocukların genel psikolojik uyumu arasındaki ilişkide ise, evli ailelerde çocukların genel psikolojik uyumu puanları hem anne hem de baba kabul-reddi puanları ile oldukça yüksek düzeyde ilişkiliyken (r=.63 ve r=.65), boşanmış ailelerde, Anne EKRÖ (r=.55) panları Baba EKRÖ (r=.31) puanlarına göre daha fazla ilişkili olarak bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre, evli ailelerde babaların çocuğun psikolojik uyumu üzerinde en az anneler kadar etkili olduğu; ancak, boşanma sonrasında babaların çocukları üzerindeki bu etkisinin oldukça azaldığı ve çocuğun yaşamına annenin daha fazla damga vurduğudu görülmektedir. Literatürde de bu yönde bulgular vardır.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to compare the parental acceptance-rejection and psychological adjustment of elementary school children which in divorced and married families. Method: The sample of the study consisted of 138 children from married families and 124 children from divorced families, adding up to a total of 262 respondents of those were sampled from an elementary school in City of Izmir. Parental Acceptance- Rejection Questionnaire (PARQ), Personality Assessment Questionnaire PAQ), and individual data questionnaire were administered to both of the groups of children. Results: Result of this study showed a high correlation between Mother PART and Father PART in married families' children group (r=.69); but there was no such correlation in divorced families' children group (r=.01). According to the findings of the study, in married families, there is a high correlation between psychological adjustment of chidren and Parental acceptance-rejection, both Mother PART (r=.63) and Father PART (r=.65). But in divorced families, there is a higher correlation between psychological adjustment of children and Mother PART (r=.55) then Father PART (r=.31). Conclusion: According to the findings of the study, in married families fathers are as important as mothers for the children's psychological adjustment; whereas in divorced families the effects of fathers on children become less and mothers have a greater impact on their children's psychological well being. These findings are interpreted as the negative effect of divorce on fatherchild relationship. The results of our study are consistent with the literature.
