Şizofreni çocuklarda erişkinlere kıyasla nadir görülen, kronik ve işlevselliği önemli ölçüde bozan bir bozukluktur. Fakat çocuklarda, daha ciddi bir klinik seyir izler ve prognozu daha kötüdür. Bununla birlikte erken tanı ve tedavi hakkında veriler oldukça sınırlıdır. Projektif testlerden biri olan resim çizme testi, sözel olarak kendini ifade etmekte zorlanan çocuklarda, sorunun anlaşılması açısından önemlidir. Bizim olgumuzda da çok erken başlangıçlı bir psikoz olgusunun, tedavi ve izlem süreci ile birlikte bu sürecin resimlerine nasıl yansıdığı görülmektedir. Böylece resim çizme testinin önemi de bir kez daha vurgulanmak istenmiştir.

Schizophrenia is a rarely seen disorder in children compared to adults, is chronic and markedly impairs functioning. However, the clinical course of the disorder is much more severe in children along with poorer outcomes. Along with that, data about early diagnosis and treatment are rather scarce. Drawing a picture test is included in the category of projective tests and is important in the understanding of the problem in children who have dif culty in expressing themselves verbally. The projection of the psychotic process on the drawings in conjunction with treatment and followup is presented in this case who was diagnosed with very early-onset psychosis and in the meantime, the importance of drawing a picture test once more is emphasized.
