Panik bozukluğu yaşam boyu yaygınlığı giderek artan, birinci basamak sağlık sistemini giderek daha fazla işgal etmeye başlayan, bunun yanında tedaviye dirençli olguların sayısının her geçen gün arttığı bir ruhsal bozukluk olarak önem kazanmaktadır. Tedavide farklı kuramsal yönelimli psikoterapileri, bireysel ve grup terapileri gibi farklı uygulama biçimlerini kullanmak olanaklıdır. Bilişsel davranışçı tedavi panik bozukluğunu tedavisinde yaygın biçimde kullanılan ve etkinliği kanıklanmış, hızlı etki gösteren bir tedavi yaklaşımıdır. Panik bozukluğunun bilişsel terapisi kuramsal olarak Beck, Emery ve Greenberg’in 1985’te ve Clark’ın 1996’da tanımladığı modellere dayanır. Bu yazıda panik bozukluğunun tedavisinde kullanılan bilişsel davranışçı ve diğer psikoterapiler gözden geçirilmiş, kullanılan yöntemler, tedavi aşamaları ve terapi teknikleri konusunda bilgi verilmiştir.

Panic disorder is becoming more important as a psychiatric disorder which has an increasing lifetime perevelance,which is occupying the first step health system more frequently and which has more treatment resistant cases every passing day. In treatment, it is possible to use different practice methods like distinct theoretical orientated psychotherapies, personal and group therapies. Cognitive behavioural therapy is a proved to be effective, fast acting treatment modality which is widely used in the treatment of panic disorder. Theoretically, the cognitive behavioural therapy of panic disorder is based on the models defined by Beck, Emery and Greenberg in 1985 and Clark in 1996. In this article, cognitive behavioural and other therapies used in the treatment of panic disorder are revised and information is given about the methods used, treatment stages and therapy steps.
