Subakut sklerozan panensefalit (SSPE), immun dirençli kızamık virüsünün süreğen
enfeksiyonunun sebep olduğu çocukları ve genç erişkinleri etkileyen, nadir görülen kronik,
ilerleyici bir ensefalit tablosudur. Hastalığın belirtileri görme problemlerinden, epileptik
nöbetlere ve ekstrapiramidal sistem bozukluklarına kadar değişiklik göstermekle birlikte
nadiren psikiyatrik belirtilerle başlayabilir. Bu yazıda psikiyatrik belirtiler ile ortaya çıkan 2
SSPE olgusunu sunmayı amaçladık.

Subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) is a rare chronic, progressive encephalitis
that affects primarily children and young adults, caused by a persistent infection of
immune resistant measles virus. Although the symptoms of the disease differ from visual
problems to epileptic seizures and extra pyramidal system disturbances, SSPE rarely
