Erken başlangıçlı depresyonlarda aile yüklülüğü ( Gözden geçirme)

Aile çalışanları ailede psikiyatrik bozukluk varlığını saptamada önemli araçlardır. Erişkinlerle yapılan aile yüklülüğü çalışmalarında, erken başlangıçlı (20 yaş altı) depresyon vakalarının akrabalarında majör depresif bozukluk riskinin en fazla olduğu bildirilmiştir. Bu yazıda özellikle "aşağıdan yukarı " (Bottom-Up) aile yüklülüğü çalışmaları gözden geçirmiştir. Depresyonu olan çocuk ve ergenlerin birinci derece akrabalarında majör depresyon prevalansının % 20 ile % 53 arasında değiştiği bildirilmiştir. Aynı oran anneler için ise % 56 ile % 73 arasında bulunmuştur.
