Liseli adolesanların iletişim becerileri düzeyinin ve iletişim becerileri eğitiminin etkinliğinin incelenmesi

Giriş: Adolesan dönemindeki öğrencilerin kişilerarası iletişim sorunu önemli bir sorundur. Bu araştırma, liseli adolesanların kişilerarası iletişim becerileri düzeyini ve verilen iletişim becerileri eğitiminin etkinliğini incelemek amacıyla ön test-son test yarı deneysel nitelikte olarak yapılmıştır.
Yöntem: Araştırma, Şubat-Mart 2008 tarihleri arasında İzmir ili Ödemiş ilçesinde iki Anadolu Öğretmen Lisesinde eğitim gören 94 liseli adolesanda yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın yapıldığı okuldan etik onam alınmıştır. İki gruptan oluşan adolesanlara üç saatlik bir eğitim verilmiştir. Adolesanlara eğitimden önce Adolesan Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu, İBDÖ ve İBBDF (ön test) uygulanmıştır. Eğitimden üç gün sonra İBBDF (son test) uygulanmıştır. Verilerin istatistiksel değer-lendirmesinde SPPS 11.0 programı ile sayı ve yüzde, t testi, korelasyon, varyans analizi kulla-nılmıştır.
Bulgular: Araştırma kapsamına giren adolesanların yaş ortalaması 15.56±0,56, %56.4’ü bayandır. Araştırmada, İBDÖ puan ortalaması 77.66±9.77, İBBDF (ön test) bilgi düzeyi puanı 57.26±15.59 ve İBBDF (son test) bilgi düzeyi puanı 75.32±15.58 bulunmuştur. Eğitim öncesi ve eğitim sonrası bilgi puan ortalamaları arasındaki fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuştur (t=12.63, p<0.05). Cinsiyete göre kızların İBBDF ön test-son test bilgi puan ortalamaları daha yüksek bulunmuştur (ön test F=0.03 p<0.05) (son test F=2.47 p<0.05). İBDÖ ile İBBDF (son test) bilgi puanları arasındaki korelasyon düşük bulunmuştur (p<0.01). İBDÖ ile İBBDF (ön test) bilgi puanları arasındaki korelasyon anlamlı yönde bulunmuştur (p<0.01).
Sonuçlar: Araştırmanın sonuçları, liseli adolesanların kişilerarası iletişim konusunda bilgi ve hizmet gereksinimlerini ortaya koymaktadır.
The examination of communication skills level and efficiency of communication skills education on high school adolescents
Objective: The communication problem on the students of adolescent age is an important problem. The research was made as a semi-experimental study including pre-test and posttest with the aim of the examination of communication skills level and efficiency of communication skills education on high school adolescents.
Methods: The research has been made with 94 high school adolescents that have been taken education in two Anatolian Teacher High Schools of Odemis, Izmir, between the dates February-March 2008. Adolescents divided into two groups were given communication skills education by researchers. Data were collected with Adolescent’s Identification Information Form, Communication Skills Assessing Scale (CSAS) and The Assessing Form of Communication Skills Knowledge (AFCSK)-pretest before the education and AFCSK-posttest after three days from the education by researchers. The statistical evaluating of data was used number and percent, t test, correlation with SPSS 11.0 program.
Results: The mean age of the adolescents is 15.56±0 [year] and 56.4% are female. CSAS mean score was 77.66±9.77, AFCSK (pre-test) knowledge level point was 57.26±15.59 and AFCSK (post-test) knowledge level point was 75.32±15.58 in the study group. It was a significant difference between the knowledge level mean points in terms before and after the education (t=12.63, p<0.05). It was determined that AFCSK (pre-test and post-test) knowledge level mean points of female adolescents according gender was higher than male adoles-cents (pre-test F=0.03, p<0.05, post-test F= 2.47, p<0.05). CSAS mean score of adolescents with a sufficient social relationship was higher than the others (insufficient and not idea) (KW=9.35, p<0.05). The correlation with CSAS mean score and AFCSK-pre-test knowledge level mean points was low correlation (p<0.01). The correlation with CSAS mean score and AFCSK-post-test knowledge level mean points was high correlation (p<0.01).
Conclusion: The result of research presents the need of the high school adolescents to get information and service in the topic of communication.
