Bu gözden geçirme yazısında bağımlılık sorunsalı
üzerinde durularak madde bağımlılarının ruhsal süreçlerinin
projektif testlerle açıklanması hedeflenmektedir. Klinik
psikopatolojide kişinin bir nesne ile olan özel tarzdaki
ilişkisini açıklamak için kullanılan bağımlılık terimi kendini
yok etme gibi görünse de tersine kullanıcı kişiler bunu günlük
hayatın sıkıntılarından kurtulmak ve rahata ulaşmak, endişe
gidermek adına yapılan bir durum olarak açıklamaktadır.
Psikanalizin bağımlılık sorunsalına yaklaşımındaki önemli
kavramlarından biri olan “kendini sakinleştirme süreçleri”
bağımlılık verici maddelerle “kendi kendisini tedavi etme”
yoluna giden kişiler için erken dönemdeki yetersiz anne
imgelemi ve özdeşim sorunsalına gönderme yapmaktadır.
Kişiliğin psikodinamik yanını bize sunan projektif testler
ve özellikle de Rorschach testi ile sıklıkla karşılaşılan iki
önemli bağımlılık türü olan alkol ve madde kullanımında
bu tip hastaların yanıtlarını inceleyerek hangi tipte ruhsal
süreçlerin önem kazandığını göstermeyi hedeflemektedir.

In this review, the aim is to explain the mental
processes of the substance addicted patients with the
projective tests while keeping the main emphasis on the
addiction problematic. In clinical psychopathology, even
though the term addiction that is used for explaining the
person’s specific relation with an object is seen as a self
exterminating phenomenon, the addicted people claim this
situation to be used just to get rid of the distress of daily
life, to feel relieved and to avoid anxiety. For the people
that choose to “treat themselves on their own” with the
help of addictive substances, “self-soothing processes”
which is one of the important concepts in psychoanalytical
approach to the addiction problematic, refer to the deficient
mother image in the early mother-infant relationship and
the identification problematic . It is intended to show the
types of mental processes that come into prominence in
the two frequently seen kinds of addiction -namely alcohol
and drug addiction- by examining the responses of patients
to the projective tests and especially the Rorschach test
that enlighten the psychodynamic aspect of personality.
