Kas İskelet Travması Geçiren Çocuklarda Dikkat Eksikliği Hiperaktivite Bozukluğu

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı Dikkat Eksikliği Hiperaktivite Bozukluğu (DEHB) ile travma şiddeti arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir.
Metod: 12 ay sure içinde musculoskeletal travma geçirmiş olan 7-12 yaş grubu arasında 125 çocuk çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. DEHB tanısı, klinik
görüşmeciler tarafından K-SADS-PL kullanılarak konulmuştur.
Sonuçlar: 125 çocuğun 65? ine (52%) DEHB tanısı konulmuştur. DEHB ve travma düzeyi karşılaştrılmış, kaza sonrası ortopedik müdahaleye ihtiyaç
duyan 46 çocuktan 35? inde (76%); ortopedik müdahale gerektirmeyen basit travmalı 79 çocuktan 30? unda DEHB tespit edilmiştir (37%).
Tartışma: Bazı çalışmalarda DEHB ve travma arasındaki ilişki yüksek bulunmakla birlikte, çelişkili sonuçlarda bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada kas iskelet
travması şikayeti bulunan çocukların yarısından fazlasında DEHB bulunmuştur ve bu sonuç DEHB ve travma arasında pozitif korelasyon bulan
çalışmalar ile parelelik göstermektedir.
Incidence of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder In Children With Musculoskeletal Traumas
Objective: Aim of this study was to investigate the association between the severity of trauma and the
presence of ADHD(Attention Deficit with Hyperactivity Disorder) in children. Method: 125 children ages
ranging from 7 to 12 with a history of musculoskeletal trauma in the past 12 [month]s were enrolled in the
study. To determine ADHD, besides the clinical interviews K-SADS-PL Schedule for Affective Disorders
and Schizophrenia for School Aged Children, Present and Lifetime Version (K-SADS-PL) were used.
Results: In 65 children out of 125 (52%), ADHD was identified. When the trauma level and ADHD were
compared, ADHD was identified in 35 of the 46 patients that needed orthopaedic intervention after the
injury (76%). 30 children out of 79 (37%) children with simple traumas with no orthopaedic intervention
was detected to have ADHD.
Conclusion: Although the association between ADHD and injury is highly suggested in some studies, the
results are conflicting. The results of our study were parellel with the findings of studies that had found
positive correlation between trauma and ADHD as ADHD was present in more than half of the children
sufferring from musculaskeletal traumas.
