Bu Çalışma, 5-7 yaş grubunda, öğretilebilir düzeyde zihinsel özürlü ve korunmaya muhtaç 10 çocuğa oyun oynama becerilerinin kazandırılması amacıyla yapılmıştır. çalışmada ön test-eğitim-son test deseni kullanılmış; çocukların eğitim öncesi ve eğitim sonrası düzeyleri değerlendirmede temel sınır (baseline) tekniğine uygun olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; ön değerlendirmede, oyuncakla amaçsız ve uygun olmayan biçimde (atma, vurma) ilgilenen çocukların; fiziksel ve sözel yönlendirmelerle birlikte, model alma ve ödüllendirme tekniklerinin kullanıldığı eğitim aşamasından sonra oyuncaklarla daha çok işleve yönelik (kamyona blokları doldurup boşaltma, bebeği giydirip beseleme gibi) oynadıkları görülmüştür.

In this study, it was intended to gain playing skils to 10 mentally handicapped and institutionalized children between 5-7 [year]s old. This study was in the design of test training-test; children's pre-and-post-test level was determined according to baseline technique of evaluation. As a result of the study, it was seen that the children used toys for inconvenient purposes or without any purpose before the training,and used the toys according to their functions (to fill trucks with blocks; to have dolls put on their dresses and feed them) with physical and verbal guiding after the training.
