Bu yazıda insest öyküsü olan 29 kadın ve 2 erkeğin aile ve cinsel travma özellikleri kliniğe başvuru biçim ve gerekçeleri tartışıldı. Başvurular üç gruba ayrılıyordu. 1) 10 yaş altında daima anne ile birlikte başvuru. 2) Ergenlik çağında farklı psişik ve somatik yakınmalarla başvuru ve ilk görüşmede cinsel travmanın açıklanması, 3) Erişkinlerde cinsel travmanın açıklanması psikoterapi sürecinde oldu. Açıklamadan sonra, çocuk ve ailelerin yaşam tarzında değişimler gözlendi.

This study is about 29 women and 2 boys who have applied by an incest history since 1986 to the University of Istanbul, Medical Faculty, Psychiatry Department outpatient service. Their types of application and the reasons, sexual abuse history the intervention types are going to be discussed. The applications are done in three ways: 1) age under 10 by their mothers, 2) during adolescence they applied to the outpaint service by different actual symptoms and they disclosed the sexual abuse during the first interview, 3) Adults were more likely to explain the sexual abuse during psychotherapy process.
In most of the families who cooperated well, life styles changed. Especially, mothers of the girls who are in long-term psychotherapy managed to divorce and live their own life.
