Hidrofobi, nadir görülen ve literatüre kuduz olguları ile birlikte girmiş bir tablodur. Sıklıkla kuduz ve kuduz aşısına ikincil gelişen ensefalit olgularında görülmekle birlikte, nadiren özgül fobinin bir alt tipi olarak da ortaya çıkabilmektedir. Parkinson hastalığına ikincil gelişen hidrofobi tablosu ise bildirilmemiştir. Bu olguda parkinson hastalığına ilişkin bulguları ve parkinson yönünde aile yüklülüğü olan bir hidrofobi olgusu ve farmakoterapiye verilen yanıt incelenmiştir.

Hydrophobia is a rarely observed condition which took its place in the literature with rabies cases. While it is frequently observed in encephalitis cases which develop secondary to rabies infection and rabies vaccination, it can be also be observed as a sub-type of specific phobia in neurotic cases, although not common. Hydrophobia which develops secondary to Parkinson Disease is not a condition reported in the literature. This case report is about a case with hydrophobia that
has family tendency towards Parkinson Disease and that has signs related with Parkinson Disease. In this report this case and her treatment outcome has been examined.
