Amaç: Bu çalışma, parçalanmış ve tam aileye sahip çocukların/ergenlerin şiddete yönelik tutumları ve saldırganlık dav- ranışlarının karşılaştırılması ve ilişkili faktörlerin belirlenmesi amacı ile yapılmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Karşılaştırmalı, tanımlayıcı türde yapılan bu araştırmanın evrenini, ilk öğretim 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf ve lise 1. sınıf öğrencilerinden parçalanmış aileye sahip çocuklar/ergenler ve benzer özelliklere (yaş, sınıf gibi) sahip tam aileye sahip çocuklar/ergenler oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise 100 parçalanmış aileye sahip öğrenci ve benzer özellikte 102 tam aileye sahip öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veriler, Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Saldırganlık Ölçeği ve Şiddete Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği uygulanarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, yüzdelik, aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapma, t-testi, Mann-Whitney U testi, Kruskall Wallis testi, Ki-Kare testi ve korelasyon analizi yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Parçalanmış aileye sahip çocukların/ergenlerin saldırganlık ölçeği toplam puan ortalamaları 117.61±21.80, tam aileye sahip çocukların/ergenlerin ise 108.27±21.35 olup, gruplar arasındaki bu farklılık anlamlıdır (p<0.05). Şiddete yönelik tutum açısından parçalanmış aileye sahip çocukların/ergenlerin şiddete yönelik tutumlarının ortalamaları tam aileye sahip çocuklara/ergenlere göre daha yüksek olmakla birlikte, bu farklılık anlamlı bulunmamıştır (p>0.05). Sonuç: Tüm öğrencilerin saldırgan davranışları gösterme oranlarının yüksek olduğu ve şiddete yönelik olumlu yönde tutum sergiledikleri saptanmıştır. Özellikle saldırgan davranışları açısından parçalanmış aileye sahip çocukların/ergen- lerin daha fazla bu davranışları gösterdiği ve bu durumun risk oluşturduğu söylenebilir.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare the attitudes toward violence and aggression in the children of sep- arated and married parents and to determine any related factors.?Methods: Children from sixth, seventh, and eighth grades and first-year high school students of separated parents (n=100) and those of married parents (n=102) with similar characteristics (e.g., age, socioeconomic class, etc.) were included in this comparative, descriptive study. The data were evaluated using Student’s t-test, Mann–Whitney U Test, Kruskal–Wallis test, Chi-squared test, and correlation analysis. The characteristic percentages, means, and standard de- viations were calculated. Results: The mean total aggression score was 117.61±21.80 for the children of separated parents and 108.27±21.35 for those of married parents. The difference was significant between the groups (p<0.05). The attitudes toward violence in the children of separated parents was higher than that in those of married parents, but the difference was not signifi- cant (p>0.05). Conclusion: All students had high rates of aggressive behavior and positive attitudes toward violence. In particular, the children of separated parents showed more aggressive behavior, which can be considered a risk for future devel- opmental problems.?
