Bu makalede dissosiyatif bozuklukların epidemiyolojisi ele alınmıştır. Epidemiyoloji belirli bir toplumda, sağlıkla ilgili olgu ve durumların ve bunların belirleyicilerinin dağılımının incelenmesi ve bu çalışmaların sağlıkla ilgili sorunların kontrolünde kullanılmasıdır. Makalede öncelikle epidemiyoloji ve psikiyatrik epidemiyoloji kavramları üzerinde durulmuş ardından dissosiyasyon, belirtileri, yaş, cinsiyet, sosyo-ekonomik durum, komorbodite, farklı ülkelerde ve Türkiye'de yapılmış araştırmalara değinilmiştir. Dünya'nın farklı bölgelerinde yapılmış olan araştırmaların sonuçlarının değerlendirilerek oluşturulan tablonun hastalığın kendine özgü özelliklerinin tanınmasına ve risk etkenlerinin tespit edilmesine katkısı olacaktır. Tüm bu bilgiler dissosiyatif bozukluk ile ilgili olarak, toplum ruh sağlığı hizmetlerinin geliştirilmesine kaynak oluşturabilir.

This article discusses the epidemiology of dissociative disorders. Epidemiology is the study of the distribution of health-related facts and conditions and their determinants in a given society, and the use of these studies to control health-related problems. After the first article in epidemiology and psychiatric epidemiology has focused on the concept of dissociation, symptoms, age, gender, socio-economic status, komorbodit to have referred to research conducted in different countries and in Turkey. The evaluation of the results of research conducted in different parts of the world will contribute to the recognition of the unique characteristics of the disease and to the identification of risk factors. All of this information can be a source for the development of community mental health services in relation to dissociative disorders.
