Fiziksel Hastalığı Olan Çocuk ve Ergenlerle ve Hastanede Hasta Çocuklarıyla Kalan Annelerle Grup Çalışmaları

Kronik hastalığı olan pek çok çocuk ve ergen çeşitli uyum güçlükleri gösterebilir, uzun süreli hastalık onların psikososyal gelişimi üzerinde özel bir yük oluşturabilir. Bu yazıda diyabetik ve astımlı çouk ve gençler için düzenlediğimiz “Hasta Çocuk ve Ergenlere Danışma Grupları” ile, İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Hastanesi’nde hasta çocuklarıyla birlikte yatan annelerle yapmakta olduğumuz “Aileye Danışmanlık Grupları” örneklerle açıklanmıştır. Grupların amacı hastaların ve ailelerinin hastalığa uyumlarını kolaylaştırmak ve psikolojik problemlerinin hafiflemesine yardım etmektir.
Counseling Groups for the Children and Adolescents with a Chronic Physical Illness and Their Families
Many children and adolescents with a chronic illness evidence some difficulty with psychological adjustment, and some long-term illnesses may create burdens for children and families affecting the child’s growth and overall-psychosocial development. This paper describes the “Counseling-Groups” for diabetic and asthmatic children and adolescents as well as for the mothers who accompany their children in The Pediatric Hospital of Istanbul Medical Faculty; all groups were designed to improve the psychological adjustment of patients and parents to illnesses and to alleviate psychological problems brought about their conditions.
