Bu çalışma orta çocukluk dönemindeki çocukların ebeveynlerine olan güvenli bağlanma tarzları ile mükemmeliyetçi özellikleri arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacıyla yapılandırılmıştır. Araştırmada ayrıca ebeveyn güvenli bağlanma tarzının ve mükemmeliyetçilik özelliklerinin çeşitli demografik değişkenler açısından farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığı da incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma evrenini Kağıthane ilçesine bağlı olan ilkokul 3. 4. sınıf ile ortaokul 5., 6. sınıflarında öğrenim görmekte olan toplam 446 (271 kız, 175 erkek) öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Basit seçkisiz örnekleme yönteminin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Kerns Güvenli Bağlanma Ölçeği” ve “Çocuk ve Ergen Mükemmeliyetçilik Ölçeği”n den faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmanın amaçlarını test etmek üzere Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Katsayısı, bağımsız gruplar t Testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler neticesinde güvenli bağlanma toplam puanı ile sosyal kaynaklı mükemmeliyetçilik ve benzer şekilde anneye güvenli bağlanma ile sosyal kaynaklı mükemmeliyetçilik arasında ters yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada ayrıca güvenli bağlanma toplam puanı ile anneye güvenli bağlanma tarzının katılımcıların cinsiyet, okul öncesi eğitimi alıp almama ve kardeş sayısı değişkenlerine göre farklılaştığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

This study has been performed with the intention of determining the relationship between the characteristics of perfectionism and the modes of secure attachment to the children’s parents during middle childhood. In the research, whether or not the style of parental secure attachment and the characteristics of perfectionism differed in terms of various demographic variables was additionally investigated. The population of the study consisted of a total of 446 students, 271 girls and 175 boys, who were studying in the 5th and 6th grades of the middle school and in the 3rd and 4th grades of the primary school connected with the Kagithane District in Istanbul. In this study, which used the simple random sampling method, the data collection tool utilized the Kerns Secure Attachment Scale and the Child and Adolescent Perfectionism Scale. To test the aims of the research, the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, unpaired t-test, and one-way analysis of variance techniques were used. As a result of the analyses, a significant inverse correlation was detected between socially prescribed perfectionism and the total secure attachment score, and similarly between socially prescribed perfectionism and secure attachment to the mother. In the research, the conclusion was reached that the total attachmet style and secure attachment style to the mother differentiates according to the variables of participant’s gender, whether they had received pre-school education, and number of siblings.
