Çok boyutlu algılanan sosyaldestek ölçeğinin gözden geçirilmiş formunun faktör yapısı, geçerlik ve güvenirliği

Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı, Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği’nin gözden geçirilmiş formunun psikometrik özelliklerini sınamaktır.
Yöntem: Her birinde 50’şer denek olan üç grup; psikiyatri ve cerrahi hastaları ve normaller çalışmanın örneklemini oluşturmuşlardır. Geçerliği ölçmek için, U.C.L.A Yalnızlık Ölçeği, Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği, Belirti Tarama Listesi ve Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği kullanılmıştır.
Bulgular: Ölçeğin faktör yapısının genellenebilirliği doğrulanmıştır. MSPSS ve altölçeklerinin iç tutarlılığı kabul edilebilir düzeyde bulunmuştur. Ölçekler, özellikle psikiyatri ve cerrahi örneklemlerinde, genel olarak beklendiği yönde sosyal destek, yalnızlık, umutsuzluk, olumsuz sosyal ilişki ve bir belirti tarama listesi ölçekleriyle anlamlı korelasyon göstermişlerdir. Son olarak, psikiyatri örneklemi, diğer örneklemlerle karşılaştırıldığında, en az miktarda sosyal destek bildirmiştir.
Sonuç: Bu korelasyonlar ve gruplar arası karşılaştırmalar MSPSS’in yapı geçerliliğine katkı sağlamaktadır.
Factorial Structure, Validity, and Reliability of Revised Form of the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support
Objective: The purpose of the study was to examine psychometric properties of the revised form of Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support.
Method: Three samples from a large hospital were used. The samples each consisting of 50 subjects were psychiatry patients, surgery patients and normals samples. The Turkish version of the U.C.L.A. Loneliness Scale, Perceived Social Support from Family and Friends Scale, the Symptom Check List-90-R, and the Beck Hopelessness Scale were used for validity purposes.
Results: The generalisability of the factorial structure was confirmed. The internal consistency figures for the subscales and the total scale were high. The subscales and the total scale score correlated in the expected direction with measures of social support, loneliness, hopelessness, negative social interaction and a symptom check list, particularly in the psychiatry and the surgery samples. Finally, the psychiatry sample perceived the lowest support when compared to the other samples.
Conclusion: These correlations and group comparisons contributed to the construct validity of the MSPSS.
