Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı lise öğrencilerinde bağlanma biçimleri ile sigara/alkol kullanım durumları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmanın örneklemini İstanbul İli Şişli ilçesinde resmi düz lise, endüstri meslek lisesi ve resmi özel lisede eğitim gören 16-20 yaş grubu 454 öğrenci oluşturdu. Veriler; Bilgi Formu ve Anne Babaya Bağlanma Ölçeğiyle toplandı. Ergenlerin anne/babaya olumlu/olumsuz bağlanma durumlarını belirlemeyi amaçlayan ölçek 25 maddeden oluşup; 2 alt ölçek (İlgi/kontrol ve Aşırı koruma) olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Hem iki alt ölçekte hem de toplam ölçekte puan artışı olumlu bağlanmayı ifade etmektedir. Bulgular: Katılımcıların %20,9'u sigara kullandığını %25,6'sı ise alkol kullandığını belirtmiştir Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin cinsiyeti ve ABBÖ puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki bulunmadı. Katılımcıların sigara/alkol kullanım durumu ile ABBÖ puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Çalışmada öğrencilerin bağlanma biçimleri ile cinsiyet arasında bir faklılık olmadığı görüldü. Anne-babaya olumlu bağlanmaya sahip öğrencilerde sigara ve alkol kullanım oranı düşüktür.

Objective: The study was carried out to determine relation between attachment styles and smoking/alcohol use in high school students. Material and Methods: The sample was included 454 students among 16-20 age group, studying in state high school, Industrial Vocational School, and private high school which was connected im Sisli, Istanbul. The data was collected with "Information Form", and ''Parenting Bonding Instrument (PBI'. The scale consists 25 items with 2 sub scales (Interest/control and overprotection) to determine adolecent's positive and negative attachment to their parents. The higher scores represent positive attachment. Results: 20.9% of the students was smoking, and 25.6% of them using alcohol. There is no statistically significant between the gender and PBI. There is a statistically significant between smoking/drinking and PBI. Conclusion: In the study, there is no difference between attachment styles and gender. Students having positive attachment with parents are lower rate of use alcohol and cigarette.
