Amaç: Davranışçı-sistemik eş terapileri, eşlerin birbirlerine daha iyi uyum sağlayabilmelerini ve ilişkilerinde daha esnek olabilmelerini hedefler. Bu temel hedeflere varabilmek için eşlerin uzlaşma becerilerini arttırmak, daha yapıcı tartışabilmelerini ve daha iyi iletişim kurabilmelerini sağlamak, bireysel sınır ve sorumlulukları göstermek ve eşlerin davranış repertuarlarını genişletebilmek gerekir. Hangi çifte hangi tür müdahalenin daha uygun olacağını belirlemekte bir rehber gibi kullanılabilen Müdahale Seçenekleri Çizelgesi (ALI-Alternative levels of intervention) temel hedeflere ulaşmada hangi müdahalenin seçileceği konusunda önemli bilgiler verir. Bu olgu sunumunda evlilik içi sorunların yanısıra eşlerden birinin depresyon tanısı ile etiketlendiği bir çiftin tedavisi sunulmuş ve tartışılmıştır.

Behavioural-systemic approach to couple therapy aims a better adjustment of the partners to each other and greater flexibility in their interaction as the main goals. Ability to negotiate, better communication, to argue successfully; better acceptance of personal boundaries and individual responsibilty and a greater repertoire of responses are the elements of these goals. To achieve these goals, ALI (Alternative Levels of intervention) seems to be apractical guide as part of the behavioural-systems approach. In this case report, we presented and discussed a couple having marital relationship problems as well as one being stigmatized as having depression.
