Godot beklentisi, evrim ve tarih süreçlerinin ürünü olan gelişmiş bir zihinsel oluşumun boşa çıkarılmasıdır. Bu düzeye ulaşan kişi artık, yaşamın kendisine verdiği rolü sorgulayabilecek durumdadır. Ancak, inanç, aşk ve uğraşıdan yalıtılmış bu ruhsal atmosferde, sorgulamanın sonucu yalnızca sıkıntı, bıkkınlık ve boşluk duygusudur. Godot beklentisinin ülkemize özgü versiyonu, “ne olacak bu memleketin hali?!” söylemidir. Uygulamaya yönelik ve eyleme çağıran bir soru sorulmuş gibidir. Oysayanıt beklentisi ve umudu yoktur. Godot beklentisinden ve “ ne olacak bu memleketin hali’’ döngüsünden çıkış için, büyük dönüşüm planlarından umudun kesildiği bir dönemde, eylemsizliği çözecek küçük bireysel adımların her zamankinden çok önem kazandığını söyleyebiliriz

Waiting for Godot, is the negotiation of the mental status achieved by the human being as an end product of complex evolutional and historical processes. The individual at this developmental stage, is able to inquire the role attributed to him/herself by the life itself. However, in a psychic atmosphere isolated from "belief", "love" , "occupation" (in other words any kind of "volition") this kind of inquiry will end up in feelings of boredom, disgust and suspension. The Turkish version for "Waiting for Godot" finds its reflection in the discourse represented by the common question of "What’s gonna happen with this country? This question pretends to be one that is directed towards an intervention and caring for an action, but actually it does not carry any expectation or hope for an answer. To find a way out of this suspension of the current period when radical changes still seem to be far beyond and to find an answer to the very question about the future of the country, simple individual steps appear to be more important than ever, to reverse the passivity.
