Bu yazıda, Tourette bozukluğu; klinik görünüm, ayırıcı tanı, komorbidite, etiyoloji ve tedavi açısından ele alınmıştır. Bozukluk, renkli klinik görünümüyle dikkat çekici olan ve ender görülen bir durum olarak değil; 1980'lerden sonra giderek yaygınlık kazanan kavranış biçimiyle, yani "örnek" ya da "model" niteliğindeki bir nöropsikiyatrik bozukluk olarak incelenmiştir. Daha sonra Tourette bozukluğu ile obsesif kompulsif bozukluk ilişkisi literatürdeki son bilgiler ışığında değerlendirilmiştir.

In this article, Tourette disorder was examined from the points of clinical features, comorbidity, differential diagnosis, etiology and treatment. It was held not as a rare and peculiar disorder with a coloured clinical picture, but as an "exemplary" or "model" neuropsychiatric disorder, as it is conceived since 1980s. Then, the relationship between Tourette disorder and obssesive compulsive disorder was evaluted in the light of recent literature.
