Araştırmada, mesleki sorun düzeyleri farklı olan rehber öğretmenlerin kişisel ve sosyal ayımı düzeyleri özlük nitelikleri, çalıştıkları okulun nitelikleri ve mesleğe yönelik algı ve beklentileri açısından incelenmiştir. Araştırma, on beş ilin devlet okullarında görevli 534 rehber öğretmen ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Hacettepe Kişilik Envanteri ile toplanan verilerin analizinde; t testi, Basit Faktöriyel Varyans Analizi ve Tukey-Kramer testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, rehber öğretmenlerin mesleki sorun düzeyinin onların kişisel ve sosyal uyum düzeylerini farklılaştırdığı bulunmuştur. Cinsiyet ve mesleki kıdemin kişisel uyumu farklılaştırırken, okuldaki öğrenci sayısı ve mesleğin geleceğine ilişkin beklentilerin sise sosyal uyumu farklılaştırdığı bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, mesleki sorun düzeyi ve çalışılan okulun gündüzlü/yatılı olmasının etkileşiminin kişisel uyumu farklılaştırdığı görülmüştür.

in this study, the personal and social adjustment levels of school counselors with different levels of job difficulties according to personal background, the qualifications of the school they work, and the perception and expectations towards there job were examined. The study was realized with 534 public school counselors working in 15 different provinces of Turkey. t Test, Simple Factoriai Variance Analysis and Tukey-Kramer Test were used in the analysis of the data collected with The Hacettepe Personality Inventory. The results of the study indicated that the job difficulties: effected the personal and social adjustment levels: Gender and work range effected the personal adjustment levels, the number of students and the school counselors with expectations on the future of the profession effected the social adjustment levels. In addition, the interaction between day /boarding school counselors and low job difficulty level effected the personal adjustment level.
