Bu derlemede kaygı bozukluklarının tedavisin­de etkisini uzun süreli olarak gösteren kognitif-yeniden-yapılandırma tekniğinin mantığı ve bu tek­niğin uygulama yöntemleri ayrıntılarıyla ele alınma­ya çalışılmıştır. Bu tekniğin mantığının açıklanma­sında hem Beck ve arkadaşlarının (1985) hem de Goldfried'ın (1988) bu tekniğe yaklaşımları ete alın­mıştır. Ayrıca, bu tekniğin uygulanması sürecinde üzerinde durulması ve kaçınılması gereken husus­lar da açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Uygulama sonuç­ları kaygı bozukluğunun uzun süreli tedavisinde, belirti değişikliğinden çok bilişsel yapıdaki değişikli­ği hedefleyen kognitif-yeniden-yapılandırma tekni­ğinin yeterliliğini destekler niteliktedir.

In this review the logic and ways of application of cognitive-restructuring technique, that is shown to be effective on the durable treatment of anxiety disorders, are tried So be addressed in detail. In terms of the logic of this technique, both Beck and his colleagues' (1985) and Goldfried's (1988) approaches are considered. Moreover, in the process of application of this technique the issues that are to be emphasized and avoided are tried to be explained. In terms of the treatment of anxiety disorders, results of applications support the long lasting effectiveness of cognitive-restructuring technique that aims to change cognitive structure rather than symptoms.
