Renk tercihleri üzerine yapılan araştırmalar değişik ülkelerde çeşitli yöntemlerle gerçekleştirilmektedir. Araştırmacılar seçtikleri bilimsel ıbir renk sisteminde yer alan renkleri kendi deneysel yöntemlerinde kullanarak bazı sonuçlar elde etmişlerdir. Biz de ülkemiz için 18-25 yaş grupları arasında mimarlık eği'tim i görmemiş ve mimarlık eğitimi görmüş kız ve erkek deneklerin en çok tercih ettikleri ve hiç tercih etmedikleri renk türlerini de'neysel psikoloji yöntemi ile frekans ve ağırlıklı frekanslar yardı­ mıyla renk tercihlerinin kantitatif analizlerini yaptık ve sonuçlan'dırdık.

Ever y research concerning the colour preference has used diffe ­ rent methods and every researcher chose his colours fro m a dif?ferent scientific colour system. We too carried out a research and determined those colours our subjects preferred most and those whic h they disliked by ussing the experimental psychological method. I n thi s wor k quantitative analysis of colour preferences were made b y using frequencies. Our subjects were university students between the ages of 18-25 of both sexes, who were grouped as those who had an architectural education and those who hadn't.
