Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı; Türkiye'nin toplumsal değişim sürecinde Cumhuriyet gazetesine yansıyan sapma davranışlarının onar yıllık zaman kesitinde nite) ve nicel özellikleriyle saptanmasıdır. Yöntem: Belgesel tarama yöntemiyle gerçekleştirilen çalışmada veriler "belgesel tarama formu" aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Bu makalede 1930, 1939, 1950, 1960, 1971, 1980, 1983, 1989, 1997 yıllarına ait Cumhuriyet gazetesinde yayınlanan sapma davranışlarını içeren haberler taranmış ve içerik analizi ile incelenmiştir. Haberler, habere konu olan kişiye, sapma davranışına ve haberin veriliş biçimine ait özelliklere göre üç grup içinde değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Bu çalışmada 3285 gazete İncelenmiş ve 1311 sapma davranışı içeren haber saptanmıştır. Yapılan incelemede son on yıl içinde gazeteye yansıyan sapma davranışlarında niceliksel ve niteliksel bir artışın olduğu saptanmıştır.

Object: The purpose of this work is to determine the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of deviant behaviour in the Turkish society as reflected in Cumhuriyet newspaper within a 10 [year] period. Method: This paper is based on documentary survey and the data were obtained through documantry survey questionaire. In this article deviant behavior news in Cumhuriyet Newspaper of 1930,1939, 1950, 1960,1971, 1980, 1989, 1997 were examined by using content analysis. News concerning deviant behaviors evaluated in 3 groups; characteristic of the exibiting deviant behavior, deviant behaviors and some aspect of the story content. Results: In this study 3285 nespapers were examined and 1314 deviant behaviors were found. The result of the survey shows that there has been a quantitative and qualitative increase in deviant behaviour over the last ten [year].
