Amaç: Bu çalışmada, ebeveynlerine karşı farklı bağlanma tarzlarına sahip ergenler, geliştirdikleri sosyal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin boyutlar ve arkadaşlarına bağlanma tarzları açısından karşılaştırılmışlardır. Yöntem: Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında, ‘Ebeveyne Bağlanma Ölçeği’, ‘Bem Cinsiyet Rolü Envanteri’ ve ‘Arkadaşa Bağlanma Ölçeği’ kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Sosyal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin boyutlar açısından, ebeveynlerine güvenli bağlanan ergenlerin kadınsı ve erkeksi puanlarının, güvensiz bağlananlara oranla daha düşük olduğu görülmektedir. Diğer bir ifadeyle, çocuk-ebeveyn bağlanmasındaki güven, bireylerin kadınsı ya da erkeksi olmak şeklindeki cinsiyetçi yaklaşımını azaltmaktadır. Arkadaşa bağlanma tarzı açısından ise, ebeveynlerine güvenli bağlanan ergenlerin, güvensiz bağlananlara oranla, arkadaşlarına bağlanma düzeylerinin daha yüksek olduğu; bir başka deyişle, ebeveyn-çocuk bağlanmasındaki güvenin, arkadaşa bağlanmadaki güveni de beraberinde getirdiği görülmektedir. Tartışma: Anılan bulgular ilgili literatür çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır.

Objective: In this study, adolescents who develop different parental attachment styles are compared on the basis of the dimensions relating to the gender roles they take on and the peer attachment styles they develop. Method: In this study ‘The Inventory of Parental Attachment’, ‘Bem Sex Role Inventory’ and ‘The Inventory of Peer Attachment’ are used. Results: Regarding the dimension of gender roles, it was observed that adolescents who develop secure attachment styles to their parents had lower feminine and masculine scores than those who had insecure parental attachment styles. In other words, the feeling of security in the parent-child attachment discourages the adoption of definitive feminine and masculine attitudes in adolescents. As for the peer-attachment styles, the study revealed that adolescents who developed secure parental attachment styles had stronger peer attachments than the adolescents with insecure parental attachments i.e. it was seen that secure parent-child attachment styles led to more security in peer attachment styles of adolescents. Discussion: In the study, the findings referred to above are discussed within the framework of relevant literature.
