Tutumlarla ilgili çalışmalarda halkın ruhsal hastalığı olanlara karşı yaygın şekilde olumsuz tutumlara sahip olduğu genel bir sonuçtur. Çeşitli ruhsal hastalıkların tanımlandığı olgu öyküleri kullanılarak yapılan çalışmalarda şizofreni olgusu diğerlerinden daha fazla tanınmış ve daha fazla reddedilmiştir. It is widely known that the public has negative attitude towards the person with a mental disease. It is shown that schizophrenia is more recognizable and more rejectable than other psychiatric disorders in case-focused studies In this review the studies about the publics’ attitudes towards schizophrenia and related factors has examined.
