Üniversiteki Seçmeli Ders Uygulamasının Öğrenciler ve Öğretim Üyelerinde Değerlendirilmesi

Bu çalışmada ODTÜ’de uygulanmakta olan seçmeli ders sisteminin öğrenciler ve öğretim üyeleri tarafından nasıl değerlendirildiğine bakılmıştır. Ömeklem, seçmeli ders veren ve değişik ünvan ve kadrodaki 151 öğretim üyesi ve seçmeli ders alan 1134 üçüncü ve dördüncü sınıf öğrencisinden oluşmuştur. Değerlendirmeler, öğrenci ve öğretim üyesi için hazırlanan ayn ayn formlarla alınmıştır. Her ifadeye verilen yanıtların frekansı ve yüzdesi çıkartılmıştır. Sonuçlar genel olarak, öğretim üyelerinin ve öğrencilerin seçmeli ders sisteminden memnun olduğunu, ancak öğrencilerin bu sistemin uygulamalarından çeşitli yakınmalarının bulunduğunu göstermektedir.
Perceptions of Students and Academic Staff about the Elective Course System in University
In this study, perceptions of students and academic staff about the elective course system at Middle East Technical University were investigated. The sample consisted of 1134 third and fourth year students and 151 academic staff who offered the elective courses. Two evaluation forms of elective course system were used. Responses of students and academic staff to every item were used in the calculation of the percentages. The students and academic staff assess the elective courses positively, but students indicated various problems in practice.
