Bu araştırmada, üniversite öğrencilerinin psikolojik belirtileri; mutluluk algıları, beklentilerini gerçekleştirme algıları ve gelecekten umutlu olma algılarına göre incelenmiştir. Araştırma, Atatürk Üniversitesinde 2007-2008 öğretim yılında öğrenim gören 997 öğrenci üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Psikolojik belirtiler, Şahin ve Durak (1994) tarafından Türkiye için uyarlama çalışması yapılan “Kısa Semptom Envanteri” ile elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca, öğrencilerin mutluluk, beklentileri gerçekleştirme ve umut algılan araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ile elde edilmiştir. İstatistiksel çözümlemelerinde tek yönlü varyans ve hiyerarşik regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgulara göre, kendilerini mutlu algılayanların psikolojik belirtileri, mutsuz ve kısmen mutsuz algılayanlardan anlamlı derecede daha düşük bulunmuştur. Beklentilerini gerçekleştirmiş algılayanların psikolojik belirtilerinin tamamı, kendilerini kısmen gerçekleştirdiklerini ve gerçekleştiremediklerini algılayanlara göre anlamlı derecede daha düşük bulunmuştur. Gelecekten umutlu olma algısına sahip olanların psikolojik belirtileri ise, kendilerini kısmen umutlu ve gelecekten umutlu olmayanlara göre anlamlı düzeyde daha düşük bulunmuştur. Yine gelecekten kısmen umutlu olanların psikolojik belirtileri, gelecekten umutlu olmayanlardan anlamlı düzeyde düşük bulunmuştur. Ayrıca mutluluk, beklentileri gerçekleştirme ve umut algılarının psikolojik belirtileri yordadığı görülmüştür.

In this study, students' psychological symptoms; happiness perceptions, expectations and perceptions of realization are analyzed according to the perception of being hopeful for the future. Research at Atatürk University in the academic year 2007-2008 was conducted on 997 students attending. Psychological symptoms, Sahin and Durak (1994) adaptation study conducted for Turkey "Brief Symptom Inventory" and was obtained. In addition, students' happiness, fulfillment and expectations developed by the researchers hope to detect the "Personal Information Form" was obtained by. In statistical analysis, ANOVA and hierarchical regression analysis was used. According to the findings, psychological symptoms of those who perceive themselves happy, unhappy and miserable part of those detected were found to be significantly lower. All of psychological symptoms has realized the expectations of those who perceive themselves, and that is partially gerçeklestiremediklerini significantly lower than those detected were found. Having the perception of being hopeful for the future of the psychological symptoms, some of them are optimistic and hopeful for the future were lower compared to non-significant. Still hopeful for the future part of the psychological symptoms that are hopeful for the future was found to be significantly lower than those without. In addition, happiness, fulfillment and hopes perceptions expectations was predicted psychological symptoms.
