Amaç: Türkiye’de, 2006 yılında yürürlüğe giren yasalar ile, yasa dışı maddelerle ilişkili suç işleyenler hakkında Denetimli Serbestlik Tedbiri (DST) uygulanması kararı verilebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Bağımlılık Tedavi Birimi’mize ilk bir yıl içinde DST nedeniyle yönlendirilen kişilerin sosyodemografik özellikleri, geçmişe ait maddeye ilişkin ve diğer suç öyküleri, bireysel/ailesel alkol ve madde kullanım özellikleri, tedavi sürecindeki toksikolojik analizlerinin ve tedavi sonuçlarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Bu çalışma tanımlayıcı, kesitsel niteliktedir. Merkezimize ilk bir yıl içinde başvuran DS olgularına ait dosyalar incelenerek komorbid ruhsal hastalığı olmayan hastalara ait 129 dosya değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 15.0 istatistik programı ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Denetimli serbestli olgularının % 98.2’si erkek ( n=128) ve % 0.8’i (n=1) kadındı. Olguların yaş ortalamasının 33.1 ± 11.6 (18–69) olduğu ve % 48.1’inin 25–34 yaş grubunda yer aldığı saptandı. Tedavi sürecinde uygulanan toksikolojik analizlerde olguların %46.5’inde herhangi bir madde tespit edilmedi. Toksikolojik analizlerde madde kullandığı tespit edilenlerin %38.8’inin esrar, %1.5’inin kokain, %1.5’inin amfetamin, %0.8’inin opiyat ve %0.8’inin çoklu madde kullandıkları saptandı. Olguların %46,5’inin tedavi sürecinin olumlu olarak sonlandığı tespit edildi. Sonuç: Bu çalışma, ülkemizde DST nedeniyle “zorunlu tedaviye” yönlendirilenlerin sosyodemografik, bireysel ve ailesel alkol/madde kullanım özellikleri ve suç davranışlarına ilişkin bilgilerin değerlendirildiği ilk çalışmadır. Bu alandaki bilgi birikiminin artması, bu gruba yönelik uygun tedavi ve koruma programlarının geliştirilmesine katkıda bulunacaktır.

Objective: The first Turkish drug treatment court was started in 2006. In this study, the files of the probationers who referred to our addiction center for a one year period were evaluated according to their sociodemographic characteristics, the history of personal and familial alcohol/drug use, the characteristics of personal substance related crimes and non-substance related crimes and familial criminal history. Toxicological analyses during the treatment period and treatment outcomes were evaluated also. Method: The research is a decriptive and cross sectional study. Overall, one hundred and twenty nine files of probationers, who did not have comorbid mental disease, were evaluated. Data was analyzed by SPSS 15.0 statistics program. Results: The 98.2% of subjects were male (n=128), 0.8% (n=1) of the sample was female. The mean age of the subjects was 33.1 ± 11.6 (18-69). Results of the toxicological analysis during the probation period showed that in 46.5% of the subjects no substance was detected; in 38.8% of the subjects marijuana; in 1.5 % of the subjects cocaine; in 1.5% of the subjects amphetamine, in 0.8% of the subjects opiate and in 0.8% of the subjects multi-substance was detected. The analysis of treatment outcomes showed that 46,5% of subjects had positive final reports. Conclusion: This is the first study that evaluated the sociodemographic, personal and familial alcohol/substance use and criminal histories of the probationers who refered to mandatory treatment for substance use in Turkey. The growing knowledge on this issue may contribute to the development of the most proper treatment and prevention programs for this population.
