Affetme Arttırılabilinir mi? : Affetmeyi Geliştirme Grubu

Bu araştırmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin kendilerini ve başkalarını affetmelerini geliştirmeye
yönelik olarak oluşturulan grupla psikolojik danışma programının etkililiğini test etmektir. Araştırma; 8'i deney,
8'i kontrol grubunda olmak üzere Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi'nde değişik bölüm ve sınıflarda eğitim gören
toplam 16 öğrenciyle yürütülmüştür. Deney grubundaki öğrencilere 5 hafta süre ile haftada bir kez olmak
üzere 90 dakikalık oturumlarla Enright'ın (1996) Affetme Süreç Modeli esas alınarak hazırlanmış 'a ffetmeyi
Geliştirme Grubu? uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubuna ölçümler arasında bir işlem uygulanmamıştır. Araştırmada
öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu model kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri, Bugay ve Demir (2010a) tarafından
Türkçeye çevirilen Heartland Affetme Ölçeği ile elde edilmiştir. Verilerinin analizinde parametrik olmayan
istatistikler kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen Bulgulara göre; deney ve kontrol grubunun kendini affetme son test
sonuçları arasında anlamlı düzeyde bir fark bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, bulgular Affetmeyi Geliştirme Programı'nın,
öğrencilerin başkalarını ve genel affetmelerinin olumlu düzeyde arttırdığı yönündedir. Bu sonuçlar ışığında,
affetmeyi geliştirme program uygulamaları üzerinde çalışmaların sürdürülmesi ve üniversite öğrencilerine
yönelik olarak uygulamanın yaygınlaştırılması önerilebilinir.
Can be forgiveness increased?: Forgiveness Enrichment Group
The aim of the current study was to investigate the efficacy of ?Forgiveness Enrichment
Group? on forgiveness level of Turkish university students. The subjects were 16 (8 treatment group,
8 non-treatment group) university students. A quasi-experimental design with a treatment and nontreatment
group was used to investigate the effectiveness of the program. The Turkish version of
Heartland Forgiveness Scale (Bugay & Demir, 2010a) used to determine forgiveness level of the
subjects. ?Forgiveness Enrichment Group? was introduced to treatment group subjects for 5 sessions.
The sessions were held once a week and lasted 90 minutes. Non-treatment group received no application
at all. Nonparametric methods were used in the analysis of data in this study. The main finding of the
study was that treatment group gain scores were significantly higher level of self-forgiveness than nontreatment
group. Furthermore, significant increases were observed in the posttest others? forgiveness
and total forgiveness scores of participants who received ?Forgiveness Enrichment Group?. It would be
recommended to extend the reach of Forgiveness Enrichment Group among university students on given
findings of the current study.
